Benefits of Hydroseeding for Lawn Care

How hydroseeding outperforms sod and traditional seeding for Maine properties — at a fraction of the cost.

Hydroseeding sprays a slurry of seed, mulch, fertilizer, and tackifier directly onto prepared soil. The mulch holds moisture, the fertilizer kicks germination, and the green dye lets us see exactly where we've covered.

For new construction, regrades, or any lawn larger than a small front yard, it's the right call. You get even coverage, faster germination than dry seed, and roughly one-third the cost of sod.

We use custom seed blends matched to Maine conditions — sun, shade, high-traffic, or wet areas. After install, water lightly twice a day for two weeks and you'll see a green flush by week three.
