Step 01

Removals are dropped or rigged down depending on what is underneath. Stumps are ground below grade, the grindings and roots cleaned out, and the hole backfilled and prepped so turf or a bed can go straight back over it. For very large takedowns near power lines we partner with licensed Maine arborists.
Step 03
New trees and shrubs on Maine properties live or die on species choice and siting. We plant hardy species suited to the exposure, salt, and soil of the site, set them clear of overhead lines, sight lines, plow routes, and lot edges, and plant at the right depth with the root flare visible. Establishment care — watering through the first season, mulch kept off the trunk, staking only where wind demands it — is planned as part of the job, not an afterthought.

Yes. We grind stumps below grade, remove the surface roots and grindings, and backfill the hole with loam so the area can be seeded or planted. Grinding can be done as part of a removal or as a separate visit on stumps left behind by someone else, including several at once across a property.
